About Us

The Houglum family recently embarked on a new chapter, "2021" relocating from Minnesota to the beautiful landscapes of Mid Florida. As devoted followers of Christ, our lives are grounded in faith, service, and community.

Our family—Dirk and Paulette (the “D&P” behind D&P Home Inspection), along with our eldest daughter, middle child, and youngest son—finds joy in growing together and supporting one another through every season of life.

We love being part of the vibrant Mid Florida community and actively look for opportunities to volunteer, serve, and connect with local non-profits. It’s our hope that our journey not only strengthens our family but also leaves a positive impact on those around us.

Dirk spends much of his time mentoring and training other inspectors, entrepreneurs, and small business owners. He also enjoys woodworking, creating inventions for the family, and pursuing lifelong learning that keeps him constantly engaged. Paulette loves cooking, baking, knitting, and crocheting—making blankets and other creative projects that bring comfort and joy.

Together, we enjoy camping, traveling, and discovering new adventures in God’s world. We believe life is meant to be lived fully, with gratitude, faith, and a spirit of service.
